On October 31 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a master class called “An Amulet for Happiness”, during which participants made a Horseshoe amulet out of thread with their own hands.

During the lesson, the participants learned that the tradition of creating amulets goes back to ancient times. Since ancient times, people have believed in the protective power of simple objects — horseshoes, brooms, fragrant herbs — that brought happiness and protected the house from harm. A special place among such symbols is occupied by the horseshoe, the oldest talisman of luck, success and wealth.                                                                                                       Each participant created his own unique horseshoe, putting into it the warmth of his hands, a kind heart and sincere wishes for happiness, love and prosperity. Bright, original charms will become an interior decoration and a kind reminder of the power of folk traditions and symbols.
