On January 22, the museum organized the opening of a thematic exhibition dedicated to World Election Day entitled “Elections: History and Modernity.“ The event was attended by 9th grade students of the B. Mailin Secondary School. The exhibition introduced the children to the campaign materials of the election campaign programs of the election company.
The exhibition presents historical moments of precinct election commissions, sample ballots, photographs of candidates for deputies, and unique photographs from polling stations during the election period. All the presented materials reflect the course of the elections, as well as show the stages of formation and development of the electoral system of our country. On the eve of this date, an informative meeting was also held with the chairmen of the territorial election commission of the Beimbet Mailin district.
The head of the museum, S.A. Rudik, told the story of the elections. Further, O.P. Kabanova, Chairman of the territorial election commission of the Beimbeta Mailina district, explained in detail the specifics of the election process. A lottery drawing was organized for schoolchildren aimed at knowledge of the History and legislation on elections, which was conducted by the deputy of the territorial election commission of the Beimbet district Mailina Maer V.V. The children received prizes for correct answers, which made the event more exciting.
At the end of the event, Olga Gennadievna Mailina, a labor veteran and former chairman of the territorial election commission of the Beimbet district, who has been organizing elections at all levels in the district for many years, was given the floor. She shared her impressions of her long-term work in the electoral system, and also spoke about her personal experience of participating in the organization of elections, emphasizing the importance of civic responsibility of each voter.
