On July 17, the staff of the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore held a virtual hour “Journey through the sacred places of Kazakhstan” for children of the children’s recreation area. During the event, the children learned that the project “Sacred Geography of Kazakhstan” is one of the important components of preserving national identity. The children also learned that 39 sacred objects have been registered in Kostanay region to date, which make up the sacred map of the region, 34 sacred objects that have been included in the register of Republican significance and 24 sacred objects that have been included in the regional register. Among the sacred objects is the burial place of Jabaga batyr, located near the village of Zhuravlevka. The children were able to visit the facility in an online format by watching a video prepared by the staff of the institution. At the end of the hour, the children noted that they would be happy to visit the sacred object of the district.
