On May 31 of this year, in honor of the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a thematic tour for active elderly people at the exhibition dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression under the title “Stories tragic lines” with a demonstration of video memories of residents of the village of Ayet about the tragic fates of innocent victims of the 30 – 50s the years of the twentieth century. This day is one of the hardest pages of our history. More than 100 thousand Kazakhstanis passed through the millstones of repression, 25 thousand of them were shot.
During the tour, the participants visited the museum exposition dedicated to B.J.Mailin, which familiarized with the archival materials of a fellow countryman of the writer, convicted and sentenced to capital punishment, and an exhibition with dozens of personal documents and photographs of residents of the village of Ayet, the district of Beimbet Mailin who were subjected to political repression such as Dmitrienko V.A., Ulyanov, Count E. V., Veide I.V., Geibelv.And..
