Culinary competition “Forgotten taste of the native steppe”

On October 4, within the walls of the district house of culture, a culinary competition of Kazakh dishes “The Forgotten Taste of the Native Steppe” was held among social organizations of the region. 6 teams competed in the competition, among which our museum took an active part along with other organizations in the area such as schools, libraries. The main goal of the competition is to popularize national cuisine and preserve national culinary traditions. The organizer of the event is the State Institution “Department of Culture and Language Development of the Akimat of the B. Mailina District” and the Public Foundation “Umit 2050”. The teams presented dishes of Kazakh cuisine to the jury. The commission assessed each dish and menu using a 5-point system. The jury assessed the appearance of the dish, taste, presentation, level of presentation and creativity in serving the dishes. As a result of the competition, our team “Dam saltanaty” took 2nd prize and a cash prize in the amount of 50 thousand tenge, as well as in the “Cook of the Year” competition, junior researcher Count E.V. received 3rd place.
