On the eve of the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, on May 6 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore prepared a banner exhibition entitled “Civic Duty and Honorable Duty” dedicated to soldiers participating in hostilities during the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The exhibition presents materials about the fate of the combatants, their civic duty, courage and dedication. They allow for a deeper understanding of the historical context and the human dimension of those events.
Nagorno—Karabakh is a national-military conflict, one of the few in the territory of the former Soviet Union, in which two independent states are directly involved. In the late 1990s, the Karabakh conflict had an impact on the formation of opposing groups of states in the Caucasus and beyond.
We invite everyone to visit the museum and learn more about the exhibition.
