On January 6 of this year, the B. Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a creative workshop called “Magical New Year’s Toys”, dedicated to introducing children to the technique of creating three-dimensional New Year decorations made of paper.
During the lesson, the participants learned how to create a festive three-dimensional toy from a simple paper template. The students got acquainted with the principle of assembling three-dimensional shapes, learned how to carefully cut out elements, connect parts together and decorate finished products with bright patterns and ornaments.
The children worked with toy templates, painted them, added decorative elements and turned them into real Christmas decorations. After completing the work, the participants attached strings to the toys to hang them on the Christmas tree or give them to their loved ones.
As a result, each participant got an original New Year’s toy — bright, neat and created with a soul. The master class was held in a warm and festive atmosphere, giving the children the feeling of an upcoming holiday and the opportunity to show creativity.
