On November 7 of this year, the staff of the B.Mailin Museum of Local Lore organized a business game for 8th grade students of the B. Mailin School, dedicated to the National Currency Day, called “Tenge – ulttyk currency”.
During the event, the participants got acquainted with the history of the introduction of the national currency tenge into national circulation, learned interesting facts about its creation and significance. Then the children took part in the game, answering questions about banknotes, guessing logical problems, riddles, remembering proverbs and sayings related to tenge. At the end, a quiz on the basics of financial literacy was held.
The purpose of this event is to familiarize with the history of the national currency, to determine its role and significance in the country’s economy and in the life of every person, to foster patriotism, citizenship and pride in the economic independence of Kazakhstan.
