On April 30, on the occasion of the Day of Unity of the People of Kazakhstan, the Beimbet Mailin Museum of Local Lore hosted a museum celebration: “The Power of Unity is the pride of Kazakhstan.” The event was attended by 8th grade students of Krasnoselskaya OSH and 5th-6th grades of S.Ergaliev OSH
The museum staff conducted a brief history tour and told about when and under what circumstances the holiday was established and about traditions, as well as that with the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, this spring holiday was preserved and became known as the “Holiday of the Unity of the People of Kazakhstan.” Thus, they showed the importance of preserving traditions and respecting the culture of people of different faiths and beliefs who speak different languages.
The meeting ended with an exciting game program: the children took part in a quiz, a musical game, and also remembered musical instruments of different nations. The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, leaving the children with new knowledge and vivid impressions. It reminded everyone that the friendship of peoples is the foundation of peace and harmony in Kazakhstan. Respect for the culture and traditions of different ethnic groups helps to strengthen the unity of society and makes our country strong and prosperous.
