“A sad monument of the epoch” A memory lesson for the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression

On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repression for students of the 7th grades of the B. Mailin OSH in the Museum of Local Lore. Mailin had a memory lesson called “A sad monument of the epoch”.

During the event, the presenter introduced the students to the history of the “Victims of political repression” of the 1930s-1950s, spoke in detail about prominent public figures of that time, as well as about people who were subjected to repression living in the Beimbet Maylin area. During the event, a slide show on the topic “Repression in Kazakhstan” was held, the memory of the victims was honored with a minute of silence, and then a video clip of the memories of those who live in the village of Ayet today, Veyde I.F., Graf E.V., Geibel V.I. was shown.

The memory lesson was an important event that recalled the tragic pages of the country’s history and the need to remember and respect the memory of victims of political repression. It was a chance not only to learn about the past, but also to reflect on their responsibility to preserve peace and justice in the future.
