On January 15, at the secondary school named after B. Mailin, a mobile banner exhibition was organized for teachers and students to mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of a native of our region, Kazakh Soviet theater and film actor Elubay Umurzakov on the theme: “Live in human memory.” The exhibition presents photographic materials, documents, excerpts from films telling about the life and work of E. Umurzakov. Umurzakov Elubay was born on January 31, 1899 in the village of Aktobe, Taranovsky district, Kostanay region. Since childhood, Elubai Umurzakov was familiar with folk music, played the dombra, and was an indispensable participant in all village celebrations. He was one of the first to learn to play the piano. Awarded a Certificate of Honor in 1940 from the Central Committee of the Union of Artists, and a small silver medal for success in socialist agriculture in 1958. In 1952, he was awarded the USSR State Prize, the Order of Lenin, the October Revolution, the Patriotic War, 2nd degree, the Red Banner of Labor, the Badge of Honor and medals. Awarded the State Prize of the Kazakh SSR named after. K. Baiseitova in 1968.
