“Tolerance is the basis of the well-being of our country”- round table.

The issue of tolerance is now in the spotlight throughout the world. The concept of “tolerance” is perceived differently not only by children, but also by adults, but it is important to let children understand what tolerance is. Museum staff organized a round table “Tolerance is the basis of the well-being of our country” for 7th grade students of the school named after B. Mailin. The children got acquainted with the concept of “tolerance”, with the history of its appearance, and determined the principles of tolerant behavior. Participants in the event tried to figure out how a tolerant person differs from an intolerant one, assessed the degree of their tolerance, sorted out conflict situations and looked for ways out of them. Of particular interest was the game “Compliments”, in which anyone could name all his positive qualities. The result of the event was a friendship tree collected by the participants, on which they indicated the main features inherent in a tolerant personality. Let’s hope that such meetings will benefit students. Tolerance means recognizing that people differ in appearance, status, interests, behavior and values ​​and have the right to live in peace while maintaining their individuality.
