On September 19, 2023, within the framework of the local history club “Kaynar”, the museum staff held a master class “Beads for all tastes” on making beads from improvised material: glossy paper, foil and pasta.
During the event, the children were introduced to the history of the appearance of beads, familiarized with the technique of making beads from hand-made materials, which at the end look no worse than factory ones. They showed various techniques of execution: twisting glossy paper into a tube, rolling the foil into a ball and stringing them on a fishing line. During the show, the children independently made their favorite beads from foil, paper and pasta.
At all times, beads were considered one of the brightest accessories for women. This decoration does not lose its relevance in our time. Properly selected beads are perfectly combined with a dress, blouse. With this decoration, you can easily emphasize your individuality. Folk wisdom says: “There is no decoration against natural beauty,” however, since time immemorial, a woman has always sought to embellish, make the world around her better – home, workplace, relatives and friends, without forgetting about herself. Today, our members of the circle were also interested in making their favorite beads for themselves and their loved ones.
To make these beads, you will need: fishing line, scissors, needles, ruler, paper, glue, pre-painted pasta, foil, a glossy color magazine, and a good mood!
Just a couple of simple movements – and the beads are ready.
