“Zhas ulandar maktanyshy elimnin” – museum lesson for Defenders of the Fatherland Day.

On the eve of the celebration of May 6 for 7th grade students of the secondary school named after. B. Mailina, the museum staff organized a museum lesson for the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland “Zhas Ulandar Maktanyshy Elimnin”. As part of the event, schoolchildren got acquainted with the history of the festive event, which is celebrated annually throughout the entire Republic of Kazakhstan. At this event, the invited guest was Turysbekuly Saken, a participant in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, who took part in special operations between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Turysbekuly Saken told the children about his service in the army and about special operations in the villages of Martini and Hadrut to clear out Armenian militants, as well as how he served in the trenches and at checkpoints in Shusha and Agdam. Then the event took place in a playful way: students guessed riddles, participated in competitions: “military uniform of a soldier”, “nurse”,“photograph”, “hit the target”, “chained”. At the end of the event, we talked about such important topics as honor, civic duty, selfless love for the Motherland and its inhabitants. These meetings of generations contribute to the unity of the people and strengthen the foundations of patriotism.
